COMMUNITY GUIDELINES
Please respect the privacy and dignity of those who contribute to, or visit this site. We also ask you to be aware that your story may be seen by others closely connected to it. Please consider any sensitivities that may exist.
The following guidelines must be followed in order to keep the content within the spirit of the Share My Story website. This is a dignified place where we treat victims, survivors and those affected by the road toll with the utmost respect.
The aim of Share My Story is to be an inspiration, comfort and warning to tens of thousands of people; a place where they can visit regularly; a place that can make a difference to the road toll.
Our guidelines are as follows. It is very important that you read the Share My Story website Terms of use for more detailed information on which you agree to view and use this web site.
- Your story should relate directly to the impact of road trauma.
- It is not a place for complaining about road hazards, speeding tickets or other issues best handled through other forums.
- Please do not include the names of anybody who hasn't given their permission, or images of trauma victims or any other person without their permission.
- When submitting your story, please do not include material that is subject to copyright such as popular songs, published poems, protected images e.g. movie stars.
- Please do not submit images of crashes or crash scenes. These will not be displayed.
- Please do not include stories with content that is subject to ongoing legal investigation or proceedings, unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable.
- Your story should be true.
